This course is an excellent warm-up course for anyone planning to take the Israeli Instinctive Shooting and Personal Protection Courses going on weekly.

NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course
This course will teach students how to ensure their home is safe and remains that way. Students will learn more advanced defensive techniques and use of a handgun for Self-Defense. This course will introduce students to firearm law, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation. This is an NRA Certified Course. This Certificate will allow you to apply for your Concealed Weapon License.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting
This NRA class is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least seven hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and NRA Certificate.
This class takes place at the Outdoor Gun Range.
This class will help the student develop skills and determine if the student has the proper attitude to own and use a pistol safely in a classroom and range setting. Ultimately, students will become more comfortable and familiar with pistols in order to earn a certificate. The Basics of Pistol Shooting Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses.

Students will experience a simulated shooting experience and learn how to be prepared in a high stress situation while in a controlled and safe environment. Students will work on the best marksmanship firearms simulator on the market today. Simulating an Open Range, Game Range, M-Range, and Competitive Shooter drills.
