This course employs discussions, demonstrations, live shooting, and medium to complex drills. This is a tactical course, most of the shooting experience will not take place from the shooting line but as part of a tactical learning method or drill that will require a high level of safety and self-discipline. Advancing on Target, Use of Cover and Position, Reload Under Fire Student will participate the entire day training together in solo advancing drills from the street under an aggressive scenario, through locked doors, down a crowded hall with innocent spectators and onto the live fire range – solo with a shooting coach on your shoulder advancing with you to multiple targets, changing position and reloading, advancing again on multiple targets. After the last firing drill a one-on-one evaluation of your progress.
Women On Target® provides a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper use of all the firearms included in Women On Target® Instructional Shooting Clinics. This class provides a thorough introduction to firearm safety, handling, and shooting skills. These skills require regular practice. Under the supervision of a qualified individual students will learn basic safety guild lines an proper gun handling in a lower ratio of students to teacher.
This NRA class is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific rifle action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular rifle model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the rifle; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet and FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.
